Image Policy

Effective date: September 28, 2026

We want you to know exactly what you are looking at when you see a picture on Crisp & Simmer. This page explains it plainly.

Where our images come from

The images on Crisp & Simmer are created with AI image generation tools. They are not photographs taken in a kitchen, and we do not use stock photography. Every image is made for the recipe or guide it appears in.

What the images show

A recipe image is an illustration of what the finished dish, or a step along the way, can look like. It is not a photo of a specific batch we cooked. Your dish will look a little different depending on your pan, your oven and your ingredients, and that is normal.

We don't use AI images to depict real people, real restaurants, or a specific branded product in a way that could mislead you.

How we check them

Before an image goes live, we check it against the recipe: the ingredients you can see should be ones the recipe actually uses, the cookware should match the method, and the texture and doneness should be realistic. Images that fail that check are regenerated or dropped.

Pinterest

The images we share on Pinterest come from the same process and follow the same rules.

Questions and removal requests

If you think an image is too close to your own work, a real person, or a protected design, email [email protected] with the page link. We will review it and replace or remove the image where appropriate.
